Copy of Promise Over Party: Why Jacksonville’s District 10 Needs People-First Leadership

In a political landscape that often feels deeply divided, it is easy to lose sight of what truly matters: the people. Too often, political campaigns become battlegrounds of empty promises and partisan talking points, leaving everyday residents wondering when their actual needs will be addressed.

Here in Jacksonville’s District 10, we are ready for something different. We are ready for leadership that values Promise Over Party and People Over Politics.

For over two decades, my work has never been about political labels. It has been about showing up. Whether it was helping a family secure stable housing, organizing a food distribution drive on the Northside, or connecting a young person with a mentor, the goal has always been simple: deliver real, tangible results for our community.

Running for City Council isn't a career move for me—it is a continuation of the service I have practiced my entire life. District 10 is home. It is where our families live, where our children play, and where our seniors deserve to retire in comfort and safety. But to build the future we want, we must address the real challenges holding us back: expanding healthcare access, creating economic opportunities for our youth, securing affordable housing, and ensuring our local government is completely transparent and accountable to you.

This campaign isn't about me; it’s about us. It’s about our collective voice and our shared future. We cannot predict what the future holds, but we can absolutely create it together.

I invite you to join Team Marcus today. Explore our vision, share your thoughts, and let’s work hand-in-hand to build a stronger, safer, and more vibrant Northside.

Are you ready to put people first? Join us, get involved, or consider making a contribution to help us reach every doorstep in District 10.
