Building a Stronger Northside for Everyone

Every community deserves leadership that listens, shows up, and delivers results. For too long, too many families, seniors, young people, veterans, homeowners, renters, and small business owners have felt overlooked by the very systems meant to serve them. The Northside is full of strength, history, talent, and opportunity — but to reach its full potential, it needs leadership focused on people first.
That is why Marcus is running with a clear message: Promise Over Party. People Over Politics.
This campaign is not about political games or empty promises. It is about building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Northside for everyone. It is about making sure residents have a voice, neighborhoods receive the investment they deserve, and city government works for the people who call this community home.
A Plan Focused on What Matters
Marcus’s vision begins with the real issues families talk about every day — housing, safety, jobs, infrastructure, youth opportunities, healthcare, flooding, transportation, and support for veterans. These are not abstract policy points. They are everyday concerns that affect whether a family can remain in their home, whether a child has a safe place to grow, whether a senior can access care, or whether a young person can see a future right here in Jacksonville.
Affordable housing and homeownership must remain a priority. As communities grow and change, we must create and preserve housing that working families can afford. First-time buyers need support, seniors deserve stability, and families should not be priced out of the neighborhoods they helped build.
Public safety is also essential to quality of life. Safer neighborhoods are built through strong partnerships between law enforcement, residents, schools, churches, and community organizations. Marcus believes in reducing crime by investing in prevention, youth programs, better lighting, stronger neighborhood relationships, and the resources needed to keep communities safe.
Investing in People, Jobs, and Opportunity
A stronger Northside also means a more prosperous Northside. Economic development should create real opportunities for local residents, not just outside interests. Marcus is committed to supporting small businesses, attracting responsible investment, expanding workforce training, and connecting residents with good-paying jobs and local hiring opportunities.
Young people must also be at the center of this work. When we invest in after-school programs, mentoring, sports, summer jobs, and leadership development, we are investing in the future of our community. Every child deserves access to opportunity, guidance, and safe spaces where they can learn, grow, and thrive.

Strengthening the Basics
City government must also get the basics right. Roads, sidewalks, drainage, street lighting, flooding, transportation, and neighborhood maintenance all have a direct impact on daily life. Residents should not have to keep asking for the same problems to be fixed year after year. Marcus believes infrastructure improvements should be practical, visible, and responsive to the needs of the people who live with these challenges every day.
Healthcare and food access are just as important. Families need access to quality care, mental health services, and healthy food options in every community. No neighborhood should be left behind when it comes to wellness, prevention, and basic resources that help families live with dignity and stability.
Honoring Those Who Served
Marcus is also committed to putting veterans first. Those who have served our country deserve more than words of appreciation — they deserve action. That means expanding access to veteran services, supporting veteran-owned businesses, and creating stronger pathways to housing, employment, healthcare, and long-term stability.
We Listen. We Serve. We Deliver Results.
This campaign is built on a simple belief: when we listen to the people, serve with integrity, and work together, we can deliver real results. The Northside does not need leadership that disappears after Election Day. It needs leadership that remains present, accountable, and committed to solving problems alongside the community.
Marcus is ready to bring that kind of leadership to City Hall.
Together, we can build a Northside that is stronger, safer, and more prosperous — a Northside where families can stay, businesses can grow, young people can dream, veterans are honored, and every resident has a voice.
IT IS TIME TO HIT THE MARK
